Our FAQ’S

1 Can I keep my same phone number?

Yes. If the number has not been cancelled with your current provider, we will transfer it over and cancel it for you!

2 Is there long distance included?

We offer Unlimited Canada and US long distance at no extra cost, as well as affordable international calling.

3 How soon can we have this hooked up?

We strive to have our customers installed by the soonest possible date available. Usually, we have customers installed within 5-10 business days. If you are getting Internet as well, we usually hook up the phone a day or two after to ensure that there is a good connection to support the phone.

4 Do I have to pay extra for all features?

All our phone features are included in our low monthly cost! You will get features such as Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Voicemail, Fail to Cell, and Unlimited Canada and US Calling. Access the user guide by clicking here.

5 How do I check my voicemail remotely?

To remotely access your voicemail, you can follow these steps:

1. Dial 1-866-290-9003 or 1-226-996-1240
2. You’ll be prompted to enter your account number, which is your phone number with the leading 1.
3. Next, enter your password when prompted, followed by the # key.
3. Follow the voice prompts to manage your voicemail messages and settings.

These steps will allow you to check your voicemail and perform additional actions using the provided voice prompts.

6 What is the difference between traditional 9-1-1 service and VoIP phone 9-1-1?

With traditional phone services, your 9-1-1 call is sent directly to the nearest emergency response centre. With VoIP phone service, your 9-1-1 call is forwarded to a third-party service provider that will automatically or manually route your call to the emergency response centre.

7 How to be prepared during any service interruption?

VoIP phone service depends not only on your continued subscription (and payment) for the service, but also on Internet connectivity and power to function. In the event of power, network, or Internet outages (including congestion), or if your service is disconnected or suspended due to non-payment, you may experience a failure, disruption or delay in your 9-1-1 service. We recommend that you keep an alternative phone service (such as a cellular telephone) handy to increase the reliability of your access to emergency services during any service interruption.

8 Should I Keep Location Information updated?

It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure their registered service address and contact information are current with Canquest, your service provider; so the required information is updated to the emergency response centres.
